As hairstylists, we are constantly introduced to new products and new oils to use on our clients hair. I have tried all different kinds of oils including names you may know such as Morrocan Oil,  Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime, and Agadir Oil. I have not found any better than Kevin Murphy’s Young Again. The product is totally reparative and acts like a leave in treatment for dry damaged hair. The key ingredients in the product offer strength, body, shine, and heat protection up to 428 degrees F. I have also found the product improves blow dry time for my clients and is not heavy or greasy for clients with fine hair. It prevents breakage for damaged over-processed hair and is conditioning with an added spf for those who spend their days in the sun.

Young Again is my go to product for all hair types and truly is an all in one treatment product. I highly recommend it! Motion Lotion is Kevin Murphy’s curl enhancing product for fine hair. The product creates the perfect curl and controls frizz in a weightless absorbing lotion. The product also has UV filters so is great for people with color treated hair! It is moist, fast drying, and creates a very sexy natural curl without crunch. Apply the product in damp hair and scrunch into the ends and mid lengths.

Also, try to use the product to create a voluminous, sexy blow out. Apply to damp hair,  roots to ends and use your round brush and blow dryer to create a beautiful soft wave! Product is paraben free, flexible, shine enhancing, and antioxidant rich.

There are numerous ways of adding red tones in  your hair and numerous icons such as Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively, Ashley Simpson, and Ashley Greene are adding hints of red to their hair! Try adding hints of copper or hints of deep reddish browns for a change. Red is a hot color and can do many things for your overall look.

Adding hints of reddish highlights can soften your look and give you a nice splash of color. Or, go for a overall sandy blonde. It looks very soft and natural, giving you that beautiful, sexy seventies look.

Adding low-lights of variations of red can deepen and richen your color. Or, try putting a gloss over your hair of a deep red. Deepening and richening your color gives a sexy, more vixen look.

My favorite product for volume and shine is the Semi Di Lino Diamante, Illuminating Mousse. It is part of the Diamante or Diamond line available at OPIVU. It is infused with real diamonds which ensures amazing shine. This mousse is great to create volume with your blowdry and depending on how much of the product you use, can create a hold that is long lasting and lightweight!
It is also important to remember, when using a mousse, do NOT break it down before applying it. The product comes out cloud-like because it goes in to the hair and creates space to provide volume. If you break down the product first, the product cannot provide at it’s full potential, therefore giving you less volume.
